Imagini care ne impresioneaza pana la lacrimi, pe noi cei de acasa, dar in special pe cei din strainatate. Un dar, care ne alina dorul de tara, de traditii dar mai ales, dorul de a vedea in fiecare an aceasta minune dumnezeiasca, Sfanta Lumina de la Ierusalim.

„Cu vrerea Tatălui, cu lucrarea Fiului şi cu săvârşirea Sf. Duh, s-a zidit acest sfânt lăcaş de închinăciune cu hramul Sf. Mare Mucenic Gheorghe, în zilele Sfântului Voievod Ştefan cel Mare, ca mulţumire lui Dumnezeu, după ce a ieşit victorios în lupta cu regele Ungariei, Matei Corvin în anul 1467.
În decursul secolelor datorită vitregiilor timpului, sfântul lăcaş a avut de suferit, fie din nepăsare, fie datorită războaielor. Dupa o restaurare realizată de Comisiunea Monumentelor Istorice şi cu contribuţia Luxiţei Paladi între anii 1907- 1914 sub Carol I biserica a fost redată cultului.
Prin purtarea de grijă a domnului Mihai Chiriac fiu al satului şi a doamnei Katica – trăitori în America – s-au început din nou lucrările de reparaţie şi restaurare astfel :
În anul 2002 s-au făcut lucrările de reparaţie capitală a acoperişului cu asterială şi ţiglă.
În 4 august 2002 au fost sfinţite crucile bisericii de către I.P.S. Pimen Arhiepiscopul Sucevei şi Rădăuţilor şi aşezate pe sfântul lăcaş.
Între anii 2003 – 2004 s-a decapat tencuiaia interioară şi s-au pregătit pereţii interiori cu mortar din var, nisip şi câlţi pentru pictura interioară.
În 28 septembrie 2003 în cadrul Sfintei Liturghii Arhiereşti săvârşită de P.S. Gherasim Putneanul s-a făcut slujba de binecuvântare a lucrărilor exterioare.
Din anul 2005 s-a început pictura Sfântului lăcaş şi s-a terminat în anul 2009. Pictura a fost realizată de prof. Univ. Dr. Nicolae Sava din Bucureşti cu colaboratorii săi. Aureolele au fost poleite cu aur de 23 de carate.
În anul 2009 s-a curăţat catapeteazma şi s-au pictat din nou icoanele din sfântul iconostas.
Toate cheltuielile au fost suportate în cea mai mare parte de domnul Mihai Chiriac devenind astfel ctitor principal.
Lucrările de la acest sfânt lăcaş au fost făcute, în vremea păstoriei Preotului Viorel – Dorel Iftime, originar din Tg. Neamţ, numit find din anul 1991, după lunga păstorire a preotului Radu Dăscălescu trecut la cele veşnice în anul 2007.”
